Haikus #6-11

This time last year, I wrote haikus out of restlessness and weariness of the heart. This year, oddly enough, I’m experiencing the same thing, so I’ve come up with another set of haikus which is about waiting, patience, and desperation.

And they go like this…:

How much of waiting
Just to see your lovely face,
Look you in the eye.

Once patient, waiting,
Slowly turned to anguish;
Hope to bitterness.

How could the stars lie
Tell me I’d find you again;
Damn, they fooled me so.

I demand the gods
Tell me now do I wait or
Do I run away?

Explain as I try
Why love for you has to stop
Heart just won’t listen.
